  1. Paula, since I've just become your "friend" I've been perusing your pages. You have a wonderful talent with words. As well as a friend, I think you are my first cousin once removed. Paul Vaughan's daughter, rigt?.. Miles of noncrossing paths have separated us... over the years miles separated me also from Paul whom I called Ronnie as a child. I can remember meeting him only once during my childhood. His family came through Alabama on their way from Washington to visit our grandmother and they stopped for a few days at our house. Then we traveled in tandem to Green Cove Springs, FL. It was about Christmas 1944 or 45. I was a very onery kid (most of the time but not all the time) So on this long trek to FL one adult of the species decided it would be good to swap me off for Paul for the long ride. So I got to ride in Uncle EC's car, which had a heater, and I was a perfect angel. Poor Paul (Ronnie) was the looser in this trade because our car did not have a heater. That is my one memory of Paul as a kid. When we finally met again it was about 1992 when he visited me on a trip to FL Since then we saw each other several times at reunions and I got to know what a card he was. YOu might get some of your gift of words from him. ;) Well if you scan my fb you will see my husband and I live in Prattville, have 3 grown married children with 10 grandchildren--I think that was the last count. So if you're not Paul's daughter--sorry you had to read this rant. PS: I'm not a fan of tattoos but your butterflies are beautiful. Are they saying you are emerging or you are a free spirit?(Charlotte V Hamner) 2-11-17
